\"I know you\'re awake, brother. Go on. Try to move. Of course, you can\'t. Your body is copletely restrained, you know. You\'re not going anywhere.\"
\"You fool. Do you really... think...\" he started to say, but stopped, surprised at the sound of his own voice. \"What have you done to me?\"
I laughed for a second, then looked at him with the seriousness of a heart attack. \"I did nothing. All I did was destroy your body, to the point where a replacement was necessary. And, of course, you helped to free up that body for yourself. You should be thankful I allowed you to live, to enjoy this second chance.\"
He looked at me, stunned. \"What do you mean?!\" He looked down at his new body, then fainted.
\"Wakey, wakey, sister! You\'re having a nightmare,\" I said to Necro. We had started to give him drugs to attempt to destroy his past memories, but in order for them to work, we had to keep Necro in a sleep-deprived state. Raidra wanted Psyche back, so I intended to give him exactly what he wanted, by any means, even if it meant destroying the memories of my brother. My brother who I had never known anyway. It wasn\'t a big loss, really. I wasn\'t killing him, after all. He\'d still be there, buried within the recesses of his own mind, observing everything that happened, but unable to interact with the world or affect it in any way. Truly fitting, in a way. \"Are you okay, Jamie?\"
\"Rachel? I, I don\'t know... what happened? Unhh!!!!... WHAT ARE YOU DOING TO ME, YOU FIENDISH BITCH?!?!?!\"
\"Ah. James... that was your name, right? I see you\'re not gone yet. That\'s okay, though, the drugs will take time to work. Oh... don\'t try to use your powers, either. They won\'t work. I stripped them from you, because using them may harm the life growing within you.\"
\"What life???\"
\"Simple. Psyche... Jamie was pregnant. 2 weeks. When her attack reflected from you, before her mind was wiped, she transferred her soul into her unborn child. In a sense, you\'re going to give birth to the person you almost killed. Did I mention... Jamie\'s body is now yours, but I can\'t have you doing anything to it. So, you\'ll be left like this for a little while longer.\"
\"YOU HAVE NO RIGHT!!!\" he hissed at me. \"You do realize you\'re harming an Innocent, right? You DO know what that will do to your powers, right?\"
I looked stunned that he\'d even think to try that. True, James was an inocent, Necro was the one I should be aiming to break, but not at the cost of James. Why wasn\'t that registering to me? I looked down.
\"It\'s already happening. You\'re becoming just like your beloved James.\"
\"...I don\'t care. You have to be stopped. Even if that means harm to an Innocent.\" I walked away, slowly. Something was happening, and I had no clue just what.
Chapter 16 - Darkness Growing Within:
I sat on my bed, and listened to the music piping in over my computer. At this moment, it was fitting what was happening to me. I heard a knock at my door.
\"Rachel? Can I come in?\"
\"Melissa... please just leave me alone right now. I want to be alone.\"
She opened the door anyway. The temp-base didn\'t have locks. Someone needed to fix that. \"I know why you did this. It was revenge. Why, though? Why would you put someone else through what you are going through?\"
\"I told you to leave me alone.\"
\"Rachel. You need to start talking before your feelings start to overwhelm you. Please?\"
\"NO!\" I blasted at her with a Spirit Wake without even calling for it, but something felt different about it. It was... darker. It felt...
It felt good. I smiled. \"Now. Get out.\"
She looked at me with fear etched on her face as she left. No doubt she would tell Tempus about this, and my career would be over, or at least put on the back burner for a couple of years. My career. I realized that it was all I had left to me.
\"Rachel.\"
\"I told you to go away!!!\" I yelled.
\"That is no way to talk to your mother.\"
I stopped.
\"That is better. Listen to me, Rachel.\" I complied, and I looked as if I were about to cry. \"I know what is happening to you. It\'s your demon heritage shining through. You\'re in a major conflict with yourself. Look inside you. You will know that I am right.\"
\"Mom. That\'s total bullshit. I know how I\'m feeling right now. For the first time in a while, I feel like I have purpose. My life actually feels like it means something. Ever since this transformation occured... I haven\'t felt at home in my own skin. My own power has been like a foreign entity to me. Now I feel right. So go away, and save your bull- shit for someone who would actually care to listen to it.\" I closed my mind off. I shut everything off from myself at that moment.
Part of me was crying within me.

Phoenix walked into the medical bay where Psyche\'s body, with Necro\'s mind within, was recovering.
\"Phoenix. Listen to me. Please.\" Necro tried to say.
\"No dice, girlie. I\'m under strict orders not to acknowledge you, except to check yer vitals and make sure the transfer worked smoothly.\"
\"I wasn\'t always like this. Please, believe me! I don\'t want to hurt Rachel in any way... I can\'t help what the other part of me does, though... I...\" Necro began to cry.
\"Listen to me, ok, lass? I\'m not...\"
\"Father did this to me. When he knew that the being destined to destroy our Master was to be born, he sent me to the Underworld, and made it appear as though I were kidnapped. He and Master abused me for so long that evil became second nature to me, but I couldn\'t handle it, so I created Necro.\"
\"Yer shitting me, right, lass? Yer tellin\' me yer plural?\"
\"Yes. In some ways, I guess I am. I haven\'t been able to assert myself in years, however, because I was horrified by the atrocities that Father and Master were having me commit...\" James continued to cry at this point. \"I had absolutely no choice in the matter, and then when I lost control of Necro... I... I wanted to die. I wanted Matrix to kill me so that I wouldn\'t have to watch any more senseless murder and brutal violation...\"
\"I... I don\'t know what to say, lad. You sound like you had it hard, but I still can\'t release you.\"
\"No! You have to keep me like this! If Necro takes control again and the body is freed, everyone is doomed!\" James yelled.
\"Oh, ok.\"
\"I... I\'m actually grateful for this... the second chance...\" James said as he began to rub his belly gently as an expectant mother would. \"I\'m glad I got my other wish in life, too. I always wanted this. I should have been born like this. Fate was so cruel to me my whole life... and now I can begin to make amends. Even if it means that I have to go away along with Necro. If so, I understand.\"
\"So you don\'t mind being a girl?\"
\"No. Not only do I not mind, I\'m positively tickled pink about it... I\'m just sorry that it came at the cost of another life...\" She looked down at her midsection. \"Jamie, I promise you I will be the best mother I can be to you if you get the chance. Unhhh...\"
Phoenix tensed up. He knew that James was gone now, and if that weren\'t bad enough...
\"Attention! Attention!!! Matrix has gone rogue!!! AAAAHHHHH!!! **\"
\"COCK! This is bad! Who the hell can stop him?\"
\"I can. Release me, and I promise you that no one will die today.\"
\"Necro, no.\"
\"I\'m not just Necro. I\'m not just James. We\'ve reintegrated.\"
